Breastfeeding is not simply about a baby receiving perfectly balanced food for growth and development or receiving antibodies, immunoglobulins and a list of other wonderful constituents (some as yet unknown). It is about a baby being in the natural warm comforting habitat that is mummys skin and arms.This is where mummys have the power to provide the optimum environment for her baby to achieve his or her potential, in terms of physical, cerebral, social and psychological wellbeing, and can affect her baby for the rest of its life.
